Now we are four: Patrick, Detlef, Snezi, Martin ...or to documemta XVI. in Kassel... ...close a padlock with the name of your lovers to the Hohenzollern-bridge and throw the key into the river... ...like 2017 in Kassel & Athens... ..."Hahaha, Papa has thrown the wrong key away!"... ... and at the 3rd of October ("Tag der Deutschen Einheit") is the "day of the open moshee" ...stand up for justice - whereever you are!! ...and take part... ...and responsibility for our world. ...you are wellcome in Colonia!! When you arrive at the airport Köln/Bonn... ...it's not nessecary to take a taxi... ...because the trains to the city (every 15min.) needs just 20min... ...to the main-station "Köln Hbf", where you can change... ...into the Bus 132, dir. "Meschenich", or Bus 133, dir. "Zollstock/Südfriedhof"... ...till Haltestelle Clodwigplatz (it needs 15 min.)... ...or take the Underground, U-Bahn 15, dir. "Ubierring", 16, dir. "Bonn/Bad Godesberg"... ...till Haltestelle Clodwigplatz (it needs 15 min.)... ...or U-Bahn 17, dir. "Rodenkirchen" till Haltestelle Clodwigplatz... ...you can also rent a sharing-car... ...there are sharing-bikes at each corner of colonia... ...or just take a city-rikscha... ...or - also expensive but bigger - the city-tour-busses... ...or make a trip by ship... ...after 45 exciting minutes you reach... ...rock Drachenfels at Königswinter... ...take the ancient "Zahnradbahn"... ...an visit the curious castle "Schloss Drachenfels"... ...befor continuing your trip.. ...to the top of the rock... ...to the ruin Drachenfels, where the idea of monuments protection (Denkmalschutz) was born... ...you'll have a great view over the river Rhine. Between Bonn and Köln (20min by train/u-bahn/car) resides Brühl... ...with it's popular baroque gardens and castle... ...Schloss Augustusburg... ...an impressing monument and representative of the baroque style... ...regard the famous staircase... ...and the precious interieur... ...of Clemens August from bavaria... ...visit him in his hunting lodge... ...Schloss Falkenlust... ...30min. foot-walk through the hunting-gardens... ...where once little W. A. Mozart played piano for his majesty... ...in the age of 5 years, here in Clemens August's mirrow-cabinet... ...you should regard the rococo seashel-chapel outside in the park... ...when you walk back to Schloss Augustusburg in the afternoon. Another world-cultural-heritage-significied monument not far away (30min.by car) from Köln... ...you have to see: Schloss Benrath... ...it's worth knowing to take a guided tour... ...absolutely delightful... ...and representative, but never a king resided inside - what a pitty. ...today a hotel: Schloss Bensberg in Bergisch Gladbach... ...or a slightly nostalgical journey... ...into the Solinger Land to the beauty spot... ...Schloss Burg... ...what an adventure! - to get up use the oldfashioned chair lift... ...an interesting location for the whole family... ...with guided tours through the castle every hour... ...and cultural programm the whole year - in every season... ...and down back again by chair lift... ...over the river Wupper - fabulous!!!! On the way back you should urgently stop in Odenthal... ...the migrate monkhood of a religious order... ...built an impressiv gothic cathedral... ...in the "middle of nowhere"... ...to the glory of god... ...gorgeous, full of silence and light ... ...unbelievable impressing and absolutely well worth seeing!! Very near by - 10min by foot - the next attraction... ...Märchenwald Odenthal... ...walk in lovely oldfashioned ambiente through the forest an vistit old Grimms fairy tales... ...tape recorder play back the old 70ies-fairy-tale-disks in gramophon-sound-quality. Very retro and touching... ...and mechanic dolls move and act during that, after you have pressed the buttons!! That's fun!! And in the end: A pot of coffee and waffle with cream and hot cherries - no question. ...during a magic fountain is "dancing" to music; dubiously highlight - nice trashy :-) In the middle of the moore - in Hombroich - ... ...there, where once atomic wapons were wainting for their nuclear mission... ...are new pavillions with modern art and sculptures waiting for your visite. Unique: the "Picture-Book-Museum" in Troisdorf... ...in the castle "Burg Wissem"... ...explains the history of picture-books and more. If you love nature & romantic... ...old houses, history & nostalgy... ...than you shouldn't forget to visite... ...the open-air-museum "Rheinisches Freilichtmuseum Kommern", near Bonn. The only thing you cannot visiting anymore is our Stadtarchiv... ...which came tumbling down in march, 3dr, 2009... ...because of mess and unresponsibilities during the underground constructions works... ...and destroyed - beyond repair - thousends of historical treasure... ...and a part of the dignity of Cologne. Nobody want to take the responsabillity till today, 'cause of the invaluableness of the compensation for loss... ...every coin has two sides... ...but who once felt in love with Colonia, has to come again!!!
