We are looking to travel and remote-work in Europe for about 3-4 weeks during our 2 months school vacation in July-Aug 2025. We are open for suggestions! Summer is very nice in Montreal, come enjoy it! |
Perfect family stay in Montreal townhouse
Our two-storey townhouse is located in the Villeray area of Montreal, 5 mins walk from the métro Jarry. We are in a typical Montréal area with green alleys, located near the Jarry park, National Tennis stadium, restaurants and shops. Jean-Talon public market is also nearby.
You’ll love our place because of the neighbourhood. Our bikes (2 e-bikes, 2 x 26 inch bikes, 2 kids bikes are available, or you can also Bixi (bike share) too, we have a Bixi-stop a few steps away! Bike lanes are a very close by (REV, Réseau Express Vélo) are very safe and will take you anywhere in town. Bus stops are close by and the metro is not too far away.
We love dining out in Montreal and will gladly provide our recommendations if you are foodies. There is a cool café and bakery scene. If you like to cook like us, there are many good local stores, including Marché Jean-Talon, not too far away. Our kitchen has just been renovated and you'll feel right at home for cooking.
You'll be close enough from points of interests, while being able to retreat to a quiet neigbourhood. A real Montreal experience!
With our car (with baby seat and boosters available if needed), you will be able to enjoy the four seasons or Quebec within an hour or two drive:
- Skiing or Snowboarding at Mont Tremblant during Winter (our car has a roof ski rack)
- Swim in a lake, take a kayak during Summer camping at one of many amazing national parks (we have camping equipement for 5)
- Slide in water parks at Saint-Sauveur
- Mountain bike at Bromont, or take long bike trails (our car has a back 4-bikes rack and a roof rack for one bike)
- Visit a Cabane à Sucre (maple syrup shacks) in Spring
- Pick apples at an Apple Orchard in Autumn
We have air conditioning to cool off during hot summer days, swimming pools and parks are at walking distance. During rainy days, you can watch a movie with our home theater projector or play board games (we have many... long winters...). We have a ping pong table in the back alley.
We have a car, no private parking place, but priority parking for residents:
- Honda Pilot 2019
- Bike racks for 5 bikes
- Roof ski rack
So far, we have 7 exchange experiences (Iceland, France, Spain (San Sebastian and Barcelona), Germany, Sweden, Denmark) and all of them were amazing! We are also experienced superhosts on Airbnb for more than 3 years. We know hospitality!
For those who want to remote work (or stream movies), our Wifi 6 and Internet connection is super fast (400 Mbps), and we have an 3 ergonomic work spaces.
Villeray is #18 in the coolest neighbourhoods in the world in Timeout Magazine! Find out why yourself!

FR1013454We had a very good contact with Raymond and Valérie to prepare this exchange including a very pleasant preliminary videoconference. Raymond came to the airport to welcome us with his very comfortable car. Valerie bought us food and drinks at the Jean Talon market for our arrival.
Their house is really large, functional and comfortable corresponding to the internet description. We appreciated the (e-)bikes available to get around Montreal. We had breakfast every day on the terrace watching the squirrels in the trees on the green street. Metro and bus lines are very close to the apartment. We were able to take advantage of several cultural events (international jazz and African music festivals).
We really appreciated Raymond's suggestion to visit Mont Tremblant National Park using the "ready to camp" formula offered by SEPAQ. It was a very good experience to discover the Canadian flora and the fona using the bikes that can be fixed on the car.
Throughout our stay, we were able to communicate quickly and easily via Whatapps with Raymond when we needed information on the amenities (apartment, car, bikes, ...). We found our house as we had left it. We warmly recommend Raymond and Valérie for future exchanges.
