Lifestyle
Our property is central in the middle of the north island and is located on the volcanic plateau next to Lake Taupo the largest lake in New Zealand. With the lake 5 minutes down the road you can be swimming or kayaking in no time. We have walking and mountain biking trails such as Kinloch to Kawakawa Bay and the Great Lake Trails on our doorstep. 20 minutes away in Taupo are great walks such as the huka falls. We are very close to a lot of wonderful outdoor activities including only 1.5hrs to the start of the popular Tongariro Crossing in Tongariro National Park. If you are into trout fishing the world famous Tongariro river is an hour away. An hour in the other direction is Rotorua which has a great mountain bike park, thermal pools and a Maori cultural village. The Waitomo Limestone Caves are only 2 hours away. If you venture further there are pristine beaches 2 hours to the east.
For those who enjoy golf the world ranked Kinloch Golf course is walking distance, and there is also a community golf course.
