A Spanish-Style Home with a Colorful Patio in Southern Arizona
The home is located in a peaceful 55-and-older community with quick access to desert walking and biking trails. Enjoy the beautiful pickleball courts right across the street or 8 nearby golf courses. The Home Owners’ Association (HOA) includes access to several nearby pools, hot tubs, and fitness/recreation centers.
The listing comes with use of a golf cart (for cruising around the neighborhood or to the market), an electric bike, a fully enclosed patio with colorful furniture, a covered outdoor kitchen and gas fireplace, and lemon and orange trees with fruit to harvest from December through March.
The location is ideal for day trips to Tucson, Tubac, the Sahuaro National Park (East and West), the Sonoran Desert Museum, Chiricahua National Monument, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemon, Kitt Peak Observatory, Madera Canyon, Titan Missile Museum, Kartchner Caverns, Collosal Cave, San Xavier Mission, Tumacacori, Oregon Pipe, Tombstone, Bisbee, and more! Only 41 miles to the Mexico border at Nogales.
Longer adventures include Phoenix (2 hours), Sedona (4.5 hours), Flagstaff (5 hours), Grand Canyon (5.5 hours), Joshua Tree (5 hours), Death Valley (5 hours), Las Vegas (7 hours), and San Diego (7 hours).

About Our Family
I am a retired English teacher, assistant principal, and collegiate women’s basketball coach. I have one daughter and two grandchildren who live nearby in Arizona. I love to hike, play pickleball, swim laps, and eat vegan foods! I also love to explore the natural wonders of the world.
In the United States, I have only lived in three states (Michigan, New Mexico, and Arizona), but I have traveled extensively. I have visited 41 National Parks or Monuments. In recent years, I have traveled internationally to Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, England, Ireland, Wales, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
I do not smoke, vape, or drink alcohol. I am open to traveling with or without my dog (Scout).
Lifestyle
I am a big-time pickleball player! The courts in Green Valley are state of the art with over 60 nearby courts. I have played internationally in Germany and Ireland, and I am very interested in swaps that might have access to pickleball. I am also a walker, hiker, biker, and swimmer. Access to a lap swimming pool would be a huge bonus for me! Lastly, I am vegan, so I value access to clean food, farmer’s markets, and local healthy food options.
I anticipate traveling alone, but I may invite my adult daughter or a close friend depending on location or duration.
