Comfortable flat Southern Spain, next to Málaga.
We are lucky to live in a privileged environment: Vélez-Málaga is a town very close to the Málaga International Airport, so there are direct flights every day from many European cities.
It is located 3 km from the Mediterranean Sea and 25 km from the Sierras Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park.
Moreover, it is surrounded by the most historical and typical cities in our country.
The motorway is 7 minutes from home so, It takes 40 minutes to reach the Malaga International Airport, 30 minutes to reach Málaga; 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Granada and 2 hours to reach Córdoba or Seville.
Malaga is a cosmopolitan city with a huge variety of restaurants, museums, galleries, theatres and concerts.
But if what you prefer is to relax by the sea, our area has kilometers of beaches with all the amenities, some very quiet with blue and turquoise waters, others have a festive and friendly atmosphere with restaurants (chiringuitos) where you can taste a delicious paella, succulent seafood or the famous sardine skewers.
If you like nature, in the North of La Axarquía you can visit the Sierras Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama National Park, where there are many hiking routes.
The nights in our municipality are very varied: You can enjoy a relaxing evening with a glass of wine or a cocktail or go to any of the shows that our town hall organizes in summer: Flamenco dance and singing, classical music, pop, rock concerts, etc.
Our apartment is tremendously light, spacious and cosy. We have available a bedroom, a bathroom and a toilet room. There is a large living and dining room, a kitchen, a study with computer and a terrace where you can enjoy our splendid weather.
We also have air conditioning, Wifi Internet and TV channels with Movistar+.

About the neighborhood
In our neighbourhood there are good local shops. Many shops and restaurants are available within walking distance.There is easy access (just 7 minutes) to the motorway that leads to Malaga, Seville, Granada, Cordoba and anywhere. But if you do not like driving, several buses run directly to these cities.
The province of Málaga has 92 Km of coastline and 300 days of sunshine a year. Vélez-Málaga is the chief town center of La Axarquía, a region situated eastern Málaga Province. It is famous for its beaches, white villages, wine and flamenco folk music.
Vélez-Málaga as the capital of the Axarquía has one of the most remarkable heritage sites in the province. Palaces, churches and convents, especially Mudejar and Baroque.
The highlight: the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor, the Convent of Las Claras, the convent of the Carmelites, the hermitage of Los Remedios and its gardens, the Easter Museum and the Palace of Beniel, which now is home to the María Zambrano's Foundation and the Axarquía's International University.
In addition, from Velez-Malaga are several short trips to all corners of this beautiful region. You can visit its charming white villages as Salares, jewel of Mudejar route, Cómpeta, El Borge, Comares, Nerja, Frigliana, Mijas...
If you prefer the mountains, The Natural Park of Sierras Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama is 15 km from Vélez-Málaga.The highest point of the park is the Peak of La Maroma, with an altitude of 2,068 metres. This mountain forms the natural frontier between the provinces of Málaga and Granada. If you like skiing, Sierra Navada, wich has one of the most important ski resorts in Spain is just 1 hour and a half by car; next to Granada, one the most beautiful and magical cities in Andalucía.
