BRÜGGLEN, Switzerland

Welcome to Brügglen! We live in a wooden twin-house on three floors (ca. 180 sq. meters). First floor: big kitchen, WC, living room, all in one open room, balcony. Second floor: two bedrooms, one bathroom, balcony. Third floor: one big open working room. From our house you can go directly for many nice walks. It is a hilly landscape with small farmer villages, forests, creeks, ... . Nearby there is a small public swimming pool (2km) but you can also swim in the Aare River or in one of the lakes or in any other river.
Brügglen is very close to Solothurn, Switzerland nicest baroque town, a small charming place on the Aare river with the beautiful Jura mountain in the back. Its center is traffic-free (like most of Switzerland's cities) and it has many nice bars and restaurants.
The Jura mountain is a hikers paradise. From the Weissenstein, Solothurn's local mountain, you have a gorgeous view to the majestic alps. Half an hour by car you can reach Bern, the capital of Switzerland and in one hour by car you will arrive in the Bernese Oberland, the beautiful region with the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Hiking, biking, lakes, caves, …
Solothurn is also close to the french part of Switzerland, a region with already the french influence. But also Zürich, Basel or Luzern are reachable within one our drive by car.
