Modern house (2021) with private pool
Hello,
We are Wilma and Peter (born in 1952) We are Platinum members so you'll understand that we have had many exchanges! We really love this way of holidays. To us it is the very best way to visit a country.
In 2021 we moved from our old house (built in 1905) tot a newly built one (2021). The house is an energy neutral house: very well isolated end therefore very comfortable in winter and cool in summer. All energy is electric (generated by 48 solar panels and 3 solar collectors for the water heater, all on the roof). It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of our town GOES but still it is only a few steps away from the city centre. That is mainly because Goes is just a little town of about 24.000 inhabitants. Goes is a popular city because it is situated in the centre of the region. Goes is easily accessible by train and from the railwaystation it is a 10 min walk to our house. You can also easily reach the big cities Rotterdam, Den Haag and Amsterdam by a direct train from Goes. By car it is only 45 minutes to Antwerp and to Brussels it takes 80 minutes.
Our house has all convenience, for example:kitchen with micro wave, oven, fridge, dish washer; a technical room with washing machine and wash dryer; a living/dining room with smart TV (Netflix , a hifi-set. All over the house wifi
We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, but for an exchange we offer you just one room with a big bathroom. Our bedroom has a good bed 160 x 210 .
In front of our house we have a garden with a biological swimming pool (10 x 3,5 mtr; deep 1,5 mtr) that can be used. If you really want to go to the country side it takes you only 10 minutes by bike. For a swim in natural salt water it is 15 minutes by bike.
Wilma is a retired lawyer and Peter is a retired teacher ICT.
We have three adult daughters and we are grandparents of six lovely grandchildren. They live in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Haarlem.

Sobre a vizinhança
We live quite close from the 17th century harbor and from that harbor a canal flows towards the Oosterschelde which is one of Europe's cleanest and best preserved Delta rivers. It is here that we like best to swim, because of the superior water quality. To the Oosterschelde it takes a 5 minutes car drive or a nice 15 minutes bike ride. But about a half hour drive takes you to the big beaches of Vlissingen (which city has a magnificent boulevard) Zouteland, Domburg.
If you like you can cross the Oosterschelde via the Oosterschelde brug. Then you can go the coast of Schouwen Duiveland. Very beautifull but also very busy in summer
About 10 minutes walking from our house you’ll find various tennis courts, a golf course, and an indoor sub tropical swimming pool..
Nice towns in Zeeland to visit are: Middelburg, Vlissingen, Veere, Domburg, Zierikzee, Hulst,

La maison et le jardin ( surtout la piscine naturelle) étaient encore plus exceptionnels en réalité que sur les photos. Et avec une météo des plus favorables, notre séjour y a été extrêmement agréable. La villa est un havre de paix alors qu’elle n’est qu’à une dizaines de minutes du centre ville, plein de resources ( marchés, concerts, magasins). Nous avons eu d’excellents rapports avec nos hôtes, qui ont bien pris soin de la maison, des plantes, et de nos 2 petits félins. Un échange parfait une fois de plus!
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet échange avec Wilma et Peter. Nous sommes d’ailleurs toujours en contact. Leur maison est très agréable pour découvrir les environs et absolument conforme aux photos. Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances et recommandons vivement cet échange.

Since 2018 we are both retired and that gives us the opportunity to do exchanges whenever we like. e.g. We are not tied to school holidays.
