House in Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

A spacious 3 bedroom house with a study/ music room and a large garden. Two of the bedrooms are en suite with showers. The third uses the main family bathroom, both on the ground floor. The garden has a playframe with swings- we mainly put up a hammock these days! There is a bench and extra chairs to sit outside on good days. It is a detached house in a small estate with friendly neighbours. There are children from babies to young adults so there is usually someone around to play with and/ or chat to.

Neighborhood

About the neighborhood

Dunlavin is a small village in West Wicklow. You can find all the basic amenities in the village including an excellent playground for young and old! It is an ideal base for exploring the Wicklow mountains, Dublin city and a variety of tourist attractions which are within half an hours' drive, e.g. The National Stud in Kildare, Horse racing, Glendalough valley in the National Park, Sailing and water activities on Blessington lakes, Russborough House, Clara Lara Water Park.   There are many golf courses, the nearest being Rathsallagh just outside the village.  We are 20-30 minutes drive from the bigger towns of Naas, Newbridge, Blessington and Kildare where you can find excellent shopping and restaurants.   The airport is an hours' drive as is Dublin city centre, which is ideal for day trips. The sea is over an hours' drive, either to Wexford or east Wicklow. Here are a few links:

We are four in family and enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures. Mick (58) is an airplane enthusiast and a recent convert to running, Ronat (63) likes walking and we all love art. We love to swim, especially in freshwater lakes and rivers. It is likely this summer that we will only have one daughter joining us. Please note that the girls are both over 1.8m in height so if we are exchanging with a family with young children, we will require full sized beds! We have a small flat at the back of the house. Our lodger has a separate entrance but you may see her passing by.
