Our house is in Alaior, a village 10 km from the island-capital of Mahon and 12 km from the airport. The nearest beaches are Son Bou (6km) and Arenal de'n Castells (8km). From Alaior you can easily discover the island.
It is not a holiday house. We live here and it has all the conveniences. Alaior is a charming village, not very touristic, and you find all the facilities you need: library, bank, postoffice, shops and supermarkets.
We have cat allergies , so....

We had a very pleasant exchange in Carmen and Jan's house. They were very helpful in providing information. The house was comfortable, cool and well-shaded, while the veranda and back garden were perfect for dining and watching the sunset. Alaior is a lovely little town. Very conveniently located for visiting other towns and beaches. We had a hire car so we can't comment on local transport. We particularly enjoyed the 'Summer Nights' sessions in the square on Wednesday nights. The Centro Culturel was a favourite restaurant. We would be very happy to return to Menorca.
Tuvimos contacto fácil con la familia y fueron muy amables dejándonos algo para comer a la llegada. Explicaciones e indicaciones claras y suficientes sobre la casa y uso de electrodomésticos . La casa muy cómoda.
This was an excellent exchange. Carmen and Jan did everything to make it work well - excellent communication, helpful information, lovely clean and comfortable house, easy to get into with key system, everything you could need was there. The house and patio were as described on the site. They were friendly and really quick with information we needed. Our home was left clean and tidy, just as we left it. A superb house exchange to a lovely place; we couldn't ask for more!
Hemos tenido bastants contacto con la família que ha sido muy amable. La casa es mejor de lo que se aprecia en las fotos. Es grande y muy confortable. Esta en un barrio mu tranquilo y agradable no lejos del centro y bien comunicada con diferentes buses. Tiene un jardín enorme y muy bonito con manzanos y otras verduras. York es una ciudad muy bonita y además se pueden hacer excursiones por Yorkshire tanto en tren como en bus.
