Well-structured small city apartment, bright and quiet, close to Schönbrunn Palace
Our 'Schönbrunn' flat is small but perfectly structured for your convenient stay in Vienna. (Adress: Schönbrunner Allee 49a/2/12, 1120 Wien)
Our quiet flat faces the green garden with trees to the south-east. It is bright and gets a lot of sun through the large French window in the living room. There the comfortable Bruno-sofa (160x200 cm) sleeps two and is brandnew. For cold days, there is a bathtub in the bathroom and a fireplace ('Kaminofen Austroflamm Slim 2.0') in the living room to heat the apartment cozily, watching the fire burn. The sleeping room is very bright and quiet (but perfect blinds available), with a comfortable bed (140x200) for two persons. Our bright new kitchen is separate from the living room and well equipped. The toilette is equipped with a new Geberit bidet system.
In summer very functional blinds keep the rooms cool and dark, if you want it that way. The orientation of the flat to the quiet patio and to south-east guarantees that the flat is not getting hot at all in summer.
Our apartment is located in the unique 200 years old tree-lined Avenue 'Schönbrunner Allee'. You can start your day by walking up the avenue 15 minutes to the entrance of the wonderful park of Schönbrunn Palace and take in the breathtaking views across Vienna from the 'Gloriette'.
After breakfast/brunch you can reach the city center easily by busses or tram (line 62 directly to Vienna state opera). By nearby train station 'Hetzendorf' you can easily reach main railway stations to connect to regional, interregional and international (f.ex. 9 minutes by train to Vienna main station, 10 Minutes by tram to railway station Meidling).
In the evening you can have dinner at one of our favourite Italian restaurants of Vienna, il Tiziano, situated just across the street.
Vienna has an excellent transportation system, easy to navigate and safe. Vienna is also well connected by train (from and to all directions) and an international airport. It is easy to reach other major Austrian and international cities such as
Linz (1,25 hours by train)
Salzburg (2,5 hours),
Graz (2,5 hours),
Innsbruck (4 hours by highspeed Railjet),
Bratislava (1 hour by train or speed boat),
Budapest (2,5 hours by train),
Prague (4 hours), or
Venice (Italy).
Places you have to visit :) (all reachable easily by public transport)
-"Wachau" with its medieval towns, vine-yards and great views of the Danube (1 hour by train)
-Vienna Alps for great scenery and walking (Schneeberg, Semmering, Rax, Hohe Wand etc.), (about 1 to 1,5 hours)
-"Neusiedlersee" (big lake in Burgenland, famous for sailing, cycling and winery) (1 hour to Neusiedl/See)
- "Salzkammergut" lake district (3 hours)
Of course there are many more options, depending on your preferences- do not hesitate to ask for advice!

AT09014The apartment was cozy and comfortable. We liked the location towards the outskirts of Vienna and near the Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens, a great spot for early morning runs and walks. We also had several good public transportation connections to the center of the city (tram, bus, S-Bahn) very close by. Our communication with Julia and Matthias worked very well.
