Modernised Large Stone Cottage, Limerick, Southern Ireland
Our detached 150 year old converted barn is in the village of Holycross, 3km from the small town of Bruff, in the south west of Ireland. We are located in the countryside beside the famous medieval lake of “Lough Gur”, and 25 minutes from the city of Limerick and 50 minutes from Cork city. Our 320 sq meter house is set in a large garden with a treehouse, sand pit and trampoline, swings and a slide. Our ponies and goats overlook the garden. We have a very large patio with BBQ dining and lounge areas. Our house is surrounded by our fields (30 hectares) great for walks and picnics in the summer, but never lonely as we have friendly neighbours beside us also.
We have 4 bedrooms upstairs, 3 double rooms and one single, 2 bathrooms with both baths (a jacuzzi bath in the main bedroom) and showers. Downstairs also has a toilet and shower room, large kitchen and dining area and large utility room, a sitting room and a large kids playroom.
Wifi broadband internet and 20+ TV channels.
Our village has a shop and a pub serving food within less than 5 minute walk from our house. There is a lovely walk/bike nature trail also a few minutes walk away. The lake nearby is great for walks and picnics and has a tourist information center. In the little town of Bruff you can find a supermarket, pharmacies, pubs, restaurant, coffee shops etc.
There are many nature walks, mountain biking and tourist attractions nearby. Our house is also a great location for touring southern Ireland as due to it's central location- most of the main tourist spots and cities (Cork Kerry Galway) can be reached within 1-1.5 hr

We live in the village of Holycross, 3km from Bruff town. It is a beautiful countryside location in southern Ireland, near the lake of Lough Gur. A larger medieval town of Kilmallock is 15 minute drive and Limerick city with great shopping, weekend markets, medieval castle and cathedrals is an easy 25minute drive. We are in the ideal location for exploring the south of Ireland as a 100km drive or less will bring you to most famous tourist locations in the southern Ireland- Cork, Galway, Killarney, the Burren, cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands and over 20 blue flag beaches.
We are also near the Ballyhoura mountains with thier world famous mountain bike trails., and great for long walks. If you enjoy boat trips we are 30mintues from the beautiful large lake Lough Derg and Killaloe village. For those who reallly adore shopping, the largest shopping outlet center in Ireland (similar to America) can be found 1.5 hour on the motorway (Kildare village outlet).

We are a relaxed family who enjoy nature- especially the sea- the outdoor life, traveling and new places and cultures , nice food and being with our friends. We also enjoy our home, garden and farmlands.
Lifestyle
We live beside the famous lake- Lough Gur, on a farm and and enjoy the outdoor life- walking, cycling, day trips and weekends touring Ireland, as we live so centrally in the South to Cork Kerry Clare and Galway. We enjoy being with our pets and animals on the farm too, but happy to be at home reading and having family indoor time too. The children enjoy our large garden and playhouse with trampoline, goals, swings, slide sandpit etc. We do like being within 20 minutes of Limerick city. Love experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and trying new foods..
