House in Killaloe, Canada

I have a large house overlooking a lake. The house is fully equipped with all appliances,  a barbecue and satellite TV (you can even find channels in French, Italian and a lot of other languages!). There are two large double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) and two smaller ones.
You can canoe and swim in the lake: the water is warm from June onwards. I have a canoe, kayak and windsurfer. Weather is warm from the end of April onwards, and can get to 32° in July and August.
There is quite a lot of wild-life: we have beavers and otters in the lake, and you may see deer and (if you are very lucky) a bear. There are lots of birds as well: we have counted nearly 60 varieties over the years. The fishing in the lake is good, according to our neighbours, with bass and muskelonge.
The house is on the edge of Algonquin Park: the main areas of the park involve a drive of around 100 km. It is a huge park, with campgrounds and many canoe routes as well as hiking and mountain biking trails. There are two nearby towns (Barry's Bay and Pembroke), each about 30 minutes drive.

Lifestyle

I also have an house in downtown Ottawa: it sleeps 4 people. It is in the Byward Market area: 200 m from the National Gallery, 500 m from Parliament Hill and the National Arts Centre and close to parks, the canal and river. it has all the facilities you would expect in a capital city: many good restaurants within walking distance, theatre and cinemas, as well as museum and galleries. Ottawa also has a lot of music festivals throughout the summer.
The Killaloe house is about 2 hours drive from Ottawa: visitors can choose to split their time between the two as they choose.
The Gatineau park is 20 minutes drive north of Ottawa: it has biking and hiking trails as well as public beaches on several lakes. It is two hours by train or car to Montreal and 4 hours to Toronto
